4th OSHIO Shozan
Born 1960 in Nara, Japan.
Graduated from Osaka University of Arts (Crafts) in 1984, and Kyoto Prefectural Ceramics Training School (Kyoto Ceramic Univ) in 1985.
Specializes in handicrafts and won the PARIS Peace Art Grand Prize at the PARIS Peace Art Festival held in Paris in 1995.
Succeeded to the name of OSHIO Shozan IV in 1995, and held a name succession exhibition at Shinjuku Mitsukoshi in the following year.
Has held regular solo exhibitions at the Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store since 2001.
Certified as a Nara Prefecture traditional craftsman in 2013.
A member of the Crafts Association of Nara Prefecture and also serves as vice president of the Industrial Association of Nara Prefecture.
